Once we chat about how to responsibly and passively interact with turtles and other sea life, we will walk down to the beach and hit the water! We will take it nice and slow so you have a few moments to get accustomed to your gear and you feel confident enough to enjoy the underwater world. This is a natural sea grass bed, which is why we are blessed with turtles :) Please do remember, however, that this is a completely wild experience and we could never guarantee the sighting of a wild animal. 99 times out of 100 we see several baby and adult turtles per tour! This magical experience starts in our meeting spot in our town Chemuyil, where we will get ready for our adventure. My town is located: -20-25 mins approx. from Tulum (downtown) -35-40 mins approx. from Playa del Carmen (downtown) -2 hrs. approx. from Cancun (downtown) If you don’t have a car, or don’t know how to get to this place, please feel free to contact me to get more recommendations on transportation you can use. This is a LOCAL EXPERIENCE. You will get to know, not only these cenotes that have seen us grow up, but places with a lot of meaning to us. We will ride on our bicycles through our hometown making our way to three different cenotes around our community. Physical wear with the bicycles is minimum. We spend most of the time in the water. Riding the bicycles will be, 20-25 mins(total). Distance from cenote to cenote is 5-10 mins. If you are looking for a fancy activity, something fast, big company tours, this is DEFINITELY NOT FOR YOU. El primer paso será mostrarte los ingredientes que puedes encontrar en los hogares oaxaqueños, una de las ventajas de nuestra experiencia es que contamos con un jardín con hierbas y chiles orgánicos. Elaboramos quesillo y queso fresco todos los días. Mi hijo Baldo compartirá su conocimiento acerca del mezcal, una cata en la cual podrás tomar degustar tanto como gustes, además de agua fresca, refrescos y jugos. Botanas? Claro que si, pero lo tienes que hacer al estilo oaxaqueño, lo que significa gusanos, chicatanas y chapulines. ¿Has escuchado algo sobre el metate y como se hacen las tortillas a mano? además de tortillas elaboraremos tetelas, memelas y tlayudas. Haremos diferentes salsas utilizando ingredientes de la temporada todo cocinado sobre comal, leña y brasas al carbón. El mole es un emblema de la cocina oaxaqueña y cocinaremos uno de los 7 moles utilizando el metate. No te puedes ir sin probar el mole negro, chocolate de agua, café de olla, nieves y un rico pastel. Todos participaran en los procesos, cortando, moliendo, elaborando salsas y por supuesto comiendo, recuerda cuando visitas una casa en Oaxaca tienes que venir con el estomago vacío. After booking our experiences, you will arrive at our kitchen where you will be very welcome and where you will share a good time with an authentic Costa Rican family. After introducing ourselves and getting to know each other over a refreshing drink, we will take you on a tour of our organic garden, where you will learn about the different crops and aromatic plants, followed by picking some of the ingredients that we will use for the preparation of our dish. When we return to the kitchen we will prepare a refreshing mojito to proceed to prepare a typical dish with fresh ingredients, produced by us and our neighbors. At the end of the preparation of the dish, we will consume everything prepared in a family atmosphere. Live a true El Yunque rainforest experience with a local. Excellent for foodies and adventure fans. We visit 2 waterfalls and the famous waterslide. TRANSPORTATION INCLUDED. Adventure to pure rainforest and learn the history of its unique flora & fauna like iguanas, guava trees, bamboos and 300 year old trees. We drive to the East side of El Yunque Rainforest. On arrival we do a 30 minute hike to the first waterfall & watering hole. There you can enjoy the landscape, swim in the water, and scenic waterfall. Further up, after a 15 minute hike (High difficulty level), there is another waterfall with a natural waterslide. We end the trip by stopping for lunch at a local family owned restaurant that serves authentic grandma style food (Food not included in price). The hike for these outdoor wonders requires regular shoes with “good grip” that can get wet and muddy. The trail is very muddy and clothes will get fully wet. NO FLIPS FLOPS OR CROCS ALLOWED. Safety is my priority and we will have a fun adventure to show you the authentic essence of Puerto Rico & secret gems of the rainforest. Good Physical Condition required. Hike can be challenging for participants that are not active or exercise regularly. Bring water, towels/change of clothes for a full day of fun and beautiful new experiences. We meet in the old center of Puerto Vallarta and we take a public bus to Mismaloya, a beautiful town 25 minutes south from Vallarta. At the beach we embark the boat to start our journey to ​​Los Arcos: 5 beautiful islands in a protected natural area and a sanctuary for birds! In the incredible caves we will learn about the fauna of the natural reserve, among others the great variety of birds who nest on the islands. Afterwards, the captain will take us to a special and safe area where we can snorkel and learn about the great variety of marine fauna that inhabits the coral. In this hike we will explore different hidden beaches following a Beach/Jungle trail ABOUT: We meet in Zona Romantica, old center of Puerto Vallarta. Here we take an urban transport just like the locals do! After a pleasant 25 min ride along the coast we get off at a picturesque fisher town. Here we will start our hike following the riverbank and the sea. From there we start our ascent in the tropical forest with some amazing views! After a short hike trough the jungle we descend to our first destination: Colomitos Beach, officially the smallest beach in Mexico! After a rest and pictures we continue our path and leave the many tourist behind us to explore more hidden beaches. Here we have the opportunity to swim alone and feel in paradise. If the sea is calm, we will visit a secret place where to snorkel and observe a great diversity of fish! After this refreshing break we'll continue to our final destination and last beach: 'Playa las animas'. Here we have the option to have an incredible local seafood plate. (Not included) Last but not least we take the boat back to the fishertown where we started the hike.
