At the dinner table we can then discuss the latest gossips of the Finnish gastro scene, and you can ask me for tips and recommendations where to eat next. You will also take home a printed version of the recipes with you, so you can share them with your friends and family when your vacation is over. Aah yes, the beautiful pictures of Aurora Borealis! The best that Lapland has to offer, the Northern Lights, right? Im going to be totally honest with you: To see the Aurora is all about luck. Thats why I want you to experience other great Lappish things in a small group; to have a good time for four hours with open fire, Lappish / Finnish food, drinks & treats, stories, views, the polar night, the surrounding nature and atmosphere. And if we are lucky, the skies are clear and the universe serves us right, the Aurora Borealis will add a final touch to our shared traditional Lappish experience in the winter nature. We meet near the main railway station or somewhere else in the city center. The place of the photoshoot depends on the weather conditions, the location is negotiated before a photoshoot. I know nice places in Helsinki, starting with the city center and finishing with natural areas. If you prefer the center, we can take photos in the park of Botanical garden, the Senate square, Katajanokka, or the Töölö and Eira neighbourhoods. However, if you want to get picturesque photos in the Nordic nature, we can take a walk on the Lauttasaari island or Suomenlinna island (a 20 min ferry trip). As a result, you’ll have 25-30 professionally edited photos within 14 days. Things to note: Before a photoshoot, I discuss outfits or, at least, colours of your clothes. It’s essential, because it affects the result. I send you examples of clothes that will perfectly suit for a shoot in the location of your choice. In the spring and summer season I don’t take photos in the midday, because of the harsh light. If you want to get beautiful and warm pictures it’s better to book a photoshoot after 19:00. We have a long light day in Finland at this season. If you need a photoshoot in the middle of the day, I’m open for discussion. Please, contact me for time outside the schedule. Enjoy the winter magic, find peace of mind and feel the powerful movements of a horse when walking in the deep snow. In the beginning we will prepare horses together in the stable and then move to our riding area where all safety instructions are given. After that the trip may begin. We will ride through the snowy forest. The ride is about 1 hour and we are only walking (no trotting or galloping). After the trip we take care of the horses and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate. Other things to note Lucky Ranch is located 130 km north from Rovaniemi. You can get here by bus or by renting a car. Pyhä Ski Resort is 10 km from our place. Helsinki is a gem for architecture enthusiasts. It is difficult to find another urban space that houses a wide range of architectural styles like Helsinki; neoclassical, neorenaissance, neogothic, art nouveau-jugendstil, nordic classicism, modernism, and contemporary styles in a compact city centre. In addition to its rich architectural history and variety, Helsinki was chosen as the World Design Capital in 2012 and was awarded with City of Design status by UNESCO in 2014. All these features coupled with the importance given to design elevated Helsinki into being a major city of architecture. Different historical periods left their marks on Helsinki; however it is easy to miss these great works of world renowned architects (from Engel to Saarinen, from Sonck to Aalto) in ordinary city tours as there are layers of architecture in each corner of the white city of the North. This 3 hours walking tour will cover main sites and more, we will walk about 6 km route .We start the walking at the Senate square by the statue of Alexander the 2nd , its located in the middle of the square.
