So why not try your hand at making them yourself? I will teach you the secrets on how to make some deliciously unique and authentic Montreal style bagels at home, the easy way. We will start by learning how the ingredients used affect the Bagels and the final result. Then we will all measure our ingredients using scales. After that, I will show you how to properly mix and knead the dough which you will do on your own right after me. I have adapted the best Boulanger (Bread Maker) techniques to the home kitchen so you will become a confident baker at home in no time! After mixing the dough, we will learn how to shape the bagels, boil them, dress them up with various toppings, bake them and finally eat them fresh out of the oven! We will go in busy streets, off the beaten track and we will travel in time as far as the 1600s. We'll tackle major themes such as colonization, wars between empires or the Quiet Revolution and Quebec separatism. We will talk about architecture too, and food naturally. Of course you can count on us to tell you a few anecdotes that make this experience so interesting. You'll see the highlights of the Upper Town, such as the Château Frontenac, the cathedrals, the city hall, the Price building, the Parlement and at least one fancy gate. You'll see countless of old & beautiful residential buildings and many fascinating monuments. Thanks to this introductory guided tour, you will have a better understanding of modern Quebec society, you will know how to orient yourself in Old Quebec and you will better appreciate this magnificent city of Quebec. Ensuite, chaque client est jumelé avec un cheval selon sa taille et son expérience. Vous allez conduire votre cheval à pied vers l'écurie et vous allez avoir la chance de créer un lien de confiance avec lui en le brossant et en le préparant. Une fois que tout le monde a son casque, nous quittons l'écurie pour aller aux manèges. Une fois sur votre cheval et les étriers ajustés, nous vous donnons une petite formation sur les techniques de conduite. Le manège clôturé est l'endroit idéal pour que chacun puisse tester ses nouvelles connaissances en équitation. Après cette initiation, nous partons en balade dans nos magnifiques sentiers en montagne avec vue splendide sur les Appalaches. À mi-chemin, nous arrêtons en haut de la montagne pour prendre des photos et profiter de la belle vue. Nous terminons l'activité en remerciant notre cheval pour la belle randonnée. À la fin, vous êtes invités à rester plus longtemps pour profiter de l’ambiance et de notre aire de pique-nique, au cas où vous auriez apporté votre goûté. Once in place, do the check in and we grab the equipment. (snowpants, jacket, helmet, boots) We will prepare our snowmobiles and hear a brief instructions about how to drive, what to do and what not to do. When ready, we take our way to the deep forest of Olympia Mount in Saint- Hippolyte. This is not a regular tour of Old Montreal. If you are looking for a normal, historical tour, this experience is not for you. This is an interactive experience where you'll make new friends while discovering Old Montreal and doing fun activities and challenges with other participants. We will walk through Old Montreal and stop at various pitstops - some are landmarks, some are relaxing spots with interesting scenery and some are spots where creatives gather. At each spot, we do a different activity to spark our imagination and creativity, letting the space or landmark inspire us. We'll do some writing, sketching, creative games and storytelling. You'll get a chance to get to know your hosts and other participants.

Welcome to Edible Other, a Montreal pop-up devoted to exploring the global food and culinary communities of this incredible city and province. This unique experience is a 5-course tasting menu of dishes inspired by the tastes of Montreal's gastronomic immigrant cultures - a market mix of Asian, Jewish, Caribbean, Italian, Portuguese, or Middle Eastern - personally cooked by a Michelin star-trained chef in a private 1800's-era loft and kitchen. The hosting Chef is an award-winning food writer (Gourmet, Food+Wine) and Doctoral scholar (Oxford University/Press) who has worked with celebrity chefs, James Beard-Award, and Top Chef from the US to Asia-Pacific.
