With guided, professional instruction, you'll have a fun and creative time making an item out of clay on a pottery wheel. I will show you how to work with the clay, get it ready for the wheel, center it, and eventually start shaping. Usually students can make either a small bowl, plate, mug or vase on their first try. You will get up to 30 minutes of time on the wheel which is plenty to create one item, and then you can add accents to your piece i.e. handle and you'll get to handbuild for the remainder of the time (add accents to your piece). You can take the pottery home with you the same day you make them, or—if you'd like—I can fire your work, glaze it, and ship it to you for a small fee. We will sail on canoe through the most conserved channels of Xochimilco wetland. During the tour, we will tell you about the history of the place and its importance to the sustainability of Mexico City. In your way, you will recognize the biological richness like birds, snakes, frogs and plants. We will arrive at a chinampa where you can get your hands dirty experiencing the ancestral technique of cultivation and discovering why it is considered a world heritage. Also, you will get involve in the diary activities in the chinampa like crop irrigation, harvest or seeding. Before going back to land, you will have time to relax and enjoy the peace of the place. Claro que si, pero lo tienes que hacer al estilo oaxaqueño, lo que significa gusanos, chicatanas y chapulines. ¿Has escuchado algo sobre el metate y como se hacen las tortillas a mano? además de tortillas elaboraremos tetelas, memelas y tlayudas. Haremos diferentes salsas utilizando ingredientes de la temporada todo cocinado sobre comal, leña y brasas al carbón. El mole es un emblema de la cocina oaxaqueña y cocinaremos uno de los 7 moles utilizando el metate. No te puedes ir sin probar el mole negro, chocolate de agua, café de olla, nieves y un rico pastel. Todos participaran en los procesos, cortando, moliendo, elaborando salsas y por supuesto comiendo, recuerda cuando visitas una casa en Oaxaca tienes que venir con el estomago vacío. Live a true El Yunque rainforest experience with a local. Excellent for foodies and adventure fans. We visit 2 waterfalls and the famous waterslide. TRANSPORTATION INCLUDED. Adventure to pure rainforest and learn the history of its unique flora & fauna like iguanas, guava trees, bamboos and 300 year old trees. We drive to the East side of El Yunque Rainforest. On arrival we do a 30 minute hike to the first waterfall & watering hole. There you can enjoy the landscape, swim in the water, and scenic waterfall. Further up, after a 15 minute hike (High difficulty level), there is another waterfall with a natural waterslide. We end the trip by stopping for lunch at a local family owned restaurant that serves authentic grandma style food (Food not included in price). The hike for these outdoor wonders requires regular shoes with “good grip” that can get wet and muddy. The trail is very muddy and clothes will get fully wet. NO FLIPS FLOPS OR CROCS ALLOWED. Leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind as you begin your journey into the Atlas Mountains, We will stop for a camel ride on the way to the Ourika valley, The camel drivers will be waiting for us to give us local nomadic costumes that makes this an authentic experience. Then, Hop on your well-treated camel, Take pictures and enjoy a fresh cup of mint tea in a Berber tent. Then, we continue to visit the argan oil cooperative to have breakfast and learn how they transform the argan nuts into different argan oil products. Then, We will travel through the most amazing and beautiful places of the Atlas Mountains: The three valleys, the Atlas waterfalls, the valley of Asni, valley of Imlil, With 1 hour of walking to visit the Berber villages and waterfall and see beautiful views. Next, we will go to the village where you will have lunch which is prepared by my mother in my family house. The tour departs from Marrakech at 09:00 am and it ends in Marrakech around 17:30 pm. Pick-up location: from your hotel/Riad or from the Argana restaurant in Jemaa El-Fna square. In this hike we will explore different hidden beaches following a Beach/Jungle trail ABOUT: We meet in Zona Romantica, old center of Puerto Vallarta. Here we take an urban transport just like the locals do! After a pleasant 25 min ride along the coast we get off at a picturesque fisher town. Here we will start our hike following the riverbank and the sea. From there we start our ascent in the tropical forest with some amazing views! After a short hike trough the jungle we descend to our first destination: Colomitos Beach, officially the smallest beach in Mexico! After a rest and pictures we continue our path and leave the many tourist behind us to explore more hidden beaches. Here we have the opportunity to swim alone and feel in paradise. If the sea is calm, we will visit a secret place where to snorkel and observe a great diversity of fish! After this refreshing break we'll continue to our final destination and last beach: 'Playa las animas'. Here we have the option to have an incredible local seafood plate. (Not included) Last but not least we take the boat back to the fishertown where we started the hike.
